Even though I have a lot of family close by, I don’t always get to spend quality time with them. I’m very grateful we were able to celebrate Easter together, even though the rain kept us inside for most of the day. It was clear for a little, so I had some fun with my cousins taking pictures in my Aunt & Uncle’s beautiful backyard and orchards.
easter
family ties
I am no stranger to this couple, this is my sister-in-law and her fiance. Nicole doesn’t have a sister, so I am glad I got the job of helping her plan the wedding!
Although I love them, I had quite the time photographing them. The weather wasn’t cooperating, and they had a lot of fun goofing off . I think we ended up with some cute candid shots anyways.
P.S. I made them wear these matching flannel shirts, I thought it would be funny, but I actually like the way they turned out!
bettie’s big brother
my boys had their friend over to play this week. It was a perfect day, the weather was gorgeous, and I couldnt help snapping some pics.
columbia
After we got done at my aunt and uncle’s anniversary party in Sonora, I decided to take the kids on a drive. We drove up until we saw snow on the ground. The kids were very excited to make snow balls, and go “sledding” haha (they basically just scooted around on their bums in a parking lot).
We happen to be driving past Columbia at sundown on the way home, so we stopped and I pulled out my camera! I love love love Columbia, and it is such a gorgeous backdrop for pictures! I would love to go back and do some more if anyone is interested.
So here are my boys, actually looking at the camera! They must’ve been having fun, because it’s usually like pulling teeth.
50 years
My great-aunt and uncle celebrated 50 years of marriage this weekend. What an accomplishment!! The party was well put together by their 6 children, although I think women probably did more than the men
It was a very sweet celebration, and I’m glad I was there to capture it for them!

spring has sprung
the weather has been beautiful here!! last weekend there was no rain, but tons of wind!! I think it worked out to our advantage though, we got plenty of gorgeous pics of a gorgeous couple! they are getting married next year, and I am so excited for them!!
my third born
I have been wanting to upgrade, but i finally bit the bullet! I love everything about my new camera, and am excited to bring better quality photos to all my wonderful clients.
late night
Ok, since this is a blog I get to write, right?
It is a late night, all my boys are sick. 1 is throwing up, 1 had a long nap before bedtime, which means he won’t sleep tonight, and 1 is 26 yrs old.
I am having some major cravings for Mt. Mikes pizza. Resisted the urge with some diet crackers and salsa. Seriously, Sunny Select, how do you screw up salsa? Not working. Anyways… Since I will be up with my little one all night, I will post the WINNER to the free session, and edit the rest of the night away.
And I will do a fancy shmancy random number generator for the winning comment, actually I just asked Byron a number between 1-16, and he said 3!! Well duh, he’s 3 years old. So the winner is……
Teena!!!
e-mail me to schedule your completely free session shandimariephotography@yahoo.com
And to those of you that didn’t win better luck next time. I will be doing another free session give-away in 6 months, but until then I will still be running monthly specials, so be sure to check back!!
